Epiphaino Makeshine Global Ministries was birthed in Lira, Uganda, from a deep spiritual hunger among young people seeking a genuine encounter with God. In a generation often described as spiritually indifferent, a remnant began to gather in prayer, worship, and earnest pursuit of God’s presence.

What began in quiet rooms- in the “secret place” became a divine response to a cry for revival. Epiphaino was never just a meeting; it was a movement awakened by hunger.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”

2. The Meaning -A Mandate to Manifest

The name Epiphaino comes from the Greek word meaning to shine upon, to appear, to bring to manifestation. This became both identity and assignment: to make Christ visible in this generation.

The ministry carries the conviction that the invisible life of God must become visible through transformed believers who reflect His glory in everyday life.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”

3. The Genesis — From Prayer to Movement

Epiphaino began with small fellowships centered on deep engagement with Scripture through gatherings known as “Word Check.” These meetings were marked by raw hunger, authenticity, and uncompromised teaching of the Word.

From early milestones such as Epiphaino at Three to the 5th Anniversary celebration, every step has testified to God’s faithfulness. What started with a simple prayer has grown into a vibrant, youth-driven movement impacting lives across the city and beyond.

4. The Culture — Praise, Worship & The Word

At the heart of Epiphaino is a powerful collision of passionate worship and sound biblical teaching. Gatherings are marked by fervent praise, prophetic declarations, and transformative encounters with God’s presence.

Large events, including Mega Dinners and city gatherings, have become altars where lives are renewed and purpose is awakened. The declaration “Arise and Makeshine!” continues to define the ministry’s culture — a call to rise, reflect Christ, and carry His light boldly.

5. The Fruit — Lives That Shine

Over the years, Epiphaino has witnessed testimonies of peace restored, identities renewed, and destinies realigned. The “Makeshine” expression is not a brand or logo — it is the evidence of transformation.

Believers are empowered to become solutions in their families, workplaces, schools, and communities — carriers of God’s presence and ambassadors of His kingdom.

6. The Five-Year Milestone — The Great Shine

The 5th Anniversary marked a prophetic turning point. From building the altar in the early years, the ministry entered what was declared as “The Era of the Great Shine.”

A bold decree was proclaimed: that Lira shall be known for the Presence of God and the light of a rising generation. The celebration was not merely a commemoration of years, but a declaration of greater manifestation ahead.
