Jeremiah 50

He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:1)

He was with God in the beginning. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:2)

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:3)

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:4)

He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:5)

There was a man sent from God whose name was John. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:6)

He was with God in the beginning. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:7)

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:8)

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:9)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (KJV - Jeremiah 50:10)
