Matthew 5

He was with God in the beginning. (KJV - Matthew 5:1)

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. (KJV - Matthew 5:2)

He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. (KJV - Matthew 5:4)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (KJV - Matthew 5:5)

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (KJV - Matthew 5:6)

He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. (KJV - Matthew 5:7)
